There are several types of seats, different recommendations, and ratings. Do your research, don't just get the pretty one or cheapest (or most expensive) without looking into it first.
It is also very important that the seat is installed into your vehicle correctly! Can you believe that some people just sit infant seats in the back seat and don't secure them?!?!?!
There are step by step instructions included in packages or you can go to your local fire department, police department, health department or family resource center to get help and confirmation that you have done it correctly. Do it just to be safe!
