A few basic home security tips.

• Get in the habit of making certain that doors and windows are locked and alarms are turned on when you get home or when you leave.
• Don’t give information about personal plans to unknown callers.
• Don’t announce your plans on social media.
• Call the police if you see anything suspicious in your area.
• Do not put your address on a key or keychain.
• Do not hide your keys in "secret" places outside your home. Burglars usually know where to look.
